What data we collect

• Account information: your email address and name, provided directly or via Google Sign-In.
• Snapshots: the data captures you create, including any optional text note you add, the country you selected, and the timestamp.
• Session data: an encrypted cookie to keep you signed in.

Why we collect it

We collect this data solely to provide the Snapd-It service — to create and display your snapshots, and to allow you to sign in. We do not use your data for advertising or share it with third parties, except as described below.

Third-party services

• Google Sign-In (optional): if you choose to sign in with Google, Google shares your email and name with us under Google's own privacy policy.
• External data sources: when you create a snapshot, we fetch data from third-party APIs (weather, news, etc.) on your behalf. These requests are made server-side and no personal data is sent to them.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR and EU GDPR you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate data
• Delete your account and all associated data (see Account Settings)
• Lodge a complaint with the ICO (ico.org.uk) if you are in the UK

Data retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, all personal data and snapshots are permanently deleted immediately.

Cookies

We use a single session cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or analytics. No cookie consent banner is required.
